Kannada actor Nagabhushana is currently managing two aspects of his career – one as a lead actor and the other as a character or supporting actor. Starting off in the Kannada film industry was challenging, with minimal opportunities initially. Nagabhushana had to prove his talent by taking up small roles and giving his best. Reflecting on his journey, he emphasizes that a film's success is crucial for an actor's growth, regardless of their performance. His career took a significant turn with the success of two films, 'Ikkat' and 'Badava Rascal,' where he played both lead and character roles, respectively. Last year, three films he was part of were hits, further boosting his confidence as an actor. Nagabhushana prefers to be seen as an actor who performs comedy rather than just a comedian, as it allows him more room for creativity in his roles. He enjoys adding his personal touch to his characters while staying true to the script, aiming for a natural delivery.Neither for me nor for them, the role didn't work out in the film. Understanding when to act and when not to is crucial. For example, in the movie Badava Rascal, I simply had to be myself, meeting the basic demands of the role; whereas in Ikkat, a more exaggerated performance was called for. With all my focus now on my next project, Vidyapati, I am playing the lead role once again, feeling the weight of the big-budget production resting on my shoulders. Despite the pressure, I am confident in the story and anticipate that it will entertain audiences with its unexpected twists. Additionally, I have a supporting role in the film Anna From Mexico, presenting another dimension of my acting abilities. I find myself extremely busy these days, which I am grateful for, as it keeps me occupied after my recent wedding. While being single allowed me more freedom, now I rush home straight after work knowing that someone awaits my return.
